The City Museum is a large exploration museum housed in the old International Shoe building in St. Louis City. This museum is largely made out of repurposed architectural materials. It has been described as, “a wild, singular version of an oddball artistic mind.” I would describe it as a large indoor, outdoor, playground with many different worlds you can enter into!
Grant’s Farm is a St. Louis landmark farm located in Grantwood Village, MO and was originally the home to Ulysses S. Grant in 1848. Over the years this farm was sold to the Busch family who are still in ownership today. In 2015-2016, the St. Louis Zoo offered to purchase the farm for over $25M. After discussion back and forth, their offer was withdrawn. The Busch heirs decided to purchase the farm to keep it in the family and continue to grow it so that it can stay a free attraction to the community.
This not-for-profit children’s museum is located in the heart of Kirkwood, MO. This gorgeous victorian style home was originally built in 1901. Over the years, this home has undergone several renovations taking it from its original 5,000 sqft to over 55,000 sqft. The Magic House is an incredible space for children to go to learn, explore, be creative and most importantly to have fun!
Six Flags is an amusement park located in Eureka, MO which is a suburb just outside of St. Louis. This park features rides and characters from Warner Brothers films and tv shows. Connected to the park is a water park with many rides, slides, pools and more! This park is great for families with children taller than 36 inches. There is so much to do at this great amusement park!
