I say it every year, but fall in St. Louis really is one of my favorite times of the year.

The weather finally cools down, the weekends fill up with festivals and pumpkin patches, the boys actually want to be outside, and there is always something fun happening around STL.

And because I’m constantly saving places I want to try and things I want to do with my family, I decided to put all of those ideas into one place.

My 2026 St. Louis Fall Guide is officially here!

It’s filled with the local spots, annual traditions, fall activities and little weekend adventures I’d send to a friend who asked, “Okay, what should we do this weekend?”

A Few Dates to Put on Your Calendar

There are SO many good events happening around STL this fall, but a few that immediately made my list:

The Japanese Festival at the Missouri Botanical Garden | September 5–7

Such a fun Labor Day weekend tradition and one of those events that really does have something for everyone.

The Great Forest Park Balloon Race | September 18–19

This one just feels like St. Louis fall to me. Friday night is the Balloon Glow, followed by the race on Saturday.

Historic Shaw Art Fair | October 10–11

Art, one of my favorite STL neighborhoods and an excuse to spend the day wandering around outside. Yes please.

And that’s only the beginning. I included more fall events and annual STL traditions in the full guide so you have ideas all season long.

Where I’m Spending a Fall Morning

Give me a cool morning, a coffee and somewhere I can sit for a while and I am VERY happy.

One spot on my list this year is Teleo Coffee. Their front porch is exactly where I want to be once the STL humidity finally gives us a break.

But if you’re more of a pastry person, brunch person or looking for somewhere to bring your laptop for the morning, I have you covered there too.

What I’m Doing With the Boys

Fall weekends with three boys require a little strategy. 😂

One of our easy go-tos is Suson Park because there are animals, a playground, fishing lakes and plenty of room to burn some energy.

But I also included ideas for pumpkin picking, donuts and a few other places that make an easy family day without needing to plan something elaborate.

When Someone Comes to Visit STL

This might actually be one of my favorite sections of the guide.

You know when someone says they’re coming to town and asks what they have to do while they’re here…and suddenly you forget everything there is to do in the city you live in?

I made the list for you.

There’s a first stop, one meal they can’t leave without, my pick for the view and one experience you really only get in St. Louis.

I’ll give you one: City Museum made the cut.

Of course I snuck a little house stuff in there too.

Fall is one of the best times to take care of those small home maintenance projects before cold weather arrives, so there’s a 10-item fall home checklist inside the guide.

Nothing complicated. Just the things that are really easy to forget until suddenly it’s February and you wish you had remembered them.

And if you need someone to actually do any of those things, you know you can always ask me. I keep a list of local painters, landscapers, HVAC companies, handymen and other home professionals I’m happy to share.
